Parking at the trail-head is limited to about 5-6 cars, I arrived early enough in the morning to get the last spot. There are a handful of rocks along the water as you’ll have a place to place your belongings while you’ll most likely want to wash the dirt off your hands in the water. I’d recommend getting there as early as you can because the lot fills up quickly with cars eventually parking on the side of the huge water hydrant. It’s obvious that we hit the adventure jackpot, and we certainly can’t wait to come back and explore more of this gorgeous stretch of Oregon 138 through the Umpqua Forest. But, if you’re dying to swim or get closer to the water, make sure you’re wearing clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty.
