There are a lot of different areas in Sunnyvale to shop, explore, and have fun. The area between the two campuses is extremely safe.I love the location! It is safe, small, and beautiful. Only downside is that the cost of living is very high.Beautiful upscale town. Nightlife is quiet and summer nights, in my opinion, are the best, especially for walks and stargazing or late night talks. Every who lives here are all super nice and kind people and look out for each other. The ocean and Ocean Beach is just a fifteen minute walk. It is a bubble; those who can comfortably live in the city often forget that many would not be able to afford our lifestyles. Housing is pretty expensive and San Francisco does have a high real estate market, but this neighborhood is the best to live in.Best of both worlds. Lafayette is filled with adults who are involved and invest a lot of time into their town. The climate is FABULOUS with rarely a day over 80 degrees and most nights in the 50's. Cupertino is home to large companies such as Apple.

In the middle of the city, and yet can feel pretty removed. Though it is a pretty expensive community, most people are very down-to-earth and here to get a good education. A few miles up the road is Muir Woods with giant Redwoods. The commute time has increase over the year due to the amount of people moving here.I attend Menlo College in Atherton.

In contrast, Lafayette, a city 15 minutes away, has a highway running through it, so there is more crime. There are great restaurants nearly as well! Midtown Terrace is a hidden gem.For 18 years I have live in this neighborhood and I have loved it the whole way through. The only downfall in Dublin is that there is no night life, you often find yourself going to neighboring cities to have fun. Lafayette is close to San Francisco, but far enough that we miss a fair amount of the hustle and bustle.Mill Valley is a gem and one of the most beautiful places I have ever lived. There is a public transportation line that runs from the beach to down town called Muni. businesses close early and often last only a few years, few active community centers or entertainment venues, etc). Because of Stanford's proximity, it means that there is often a lot of great food in the downtown area. The community areas like Downtown Los Altos are very quaint and have many local shopping opportunities. It is an enclave all unto itself. While I must admit, it is extremely over-priced. With some of the best hiking and nature in the world while being only 15 minutes away from San Francisco, whats not to love!Dublin is a city that is growing day by day, bring people from all over the world. However, being able to drive to San Jose, San Francisco, or Santa Cruz all within a half hour does a lot to make up for any missing atmosphere; students regularly meet up in neighboring Cupertino or Los Gatos to get drinks or hang out. Fairmount. I went to middle school in this area and made some of my best friends there. Because it is practically part of Los Gatos, still a great community to raise a family and to live.San Ramon is a very quiet city but perfect for those who want to further their education and really feel like a community. You get to know your neighbors and everyone is super friendly.

It is surround by many fun and lively locations like downtown Palo Alto and Redwood City, while still remaining a quiet and cozy place to live. Not only are the people and community area, but the location is great. But on the other hand houses here are very beautiful but very expensive.

All of the people are connected through a social media site called Nextdoor, and they people who post on the site are very active when it comes to warning their neighbors about stormy weather or recent break-ins.Menlo Park is one of the most inviting communities. A+ Overall Niche … It can be colder than other places in SF. Beautiful sights, easy transportation to other activities. Moraga is a comfortable place to live, but there is hardly any racial diversity.Amazing suburb!

It is the kind of neighborhood one feels comfortable walking at night in.If you live closer to USF, the crime is practically non-existent. The neighborhood is very welcoming and safe, peaceful night life, a 10-20 minute drive from the city without traffic, and pleasant overall.
