There is so much craft in this text for students to look at and try out in their own writing. I mean there are like 30 words in the whole book. The words are lovely, complicated, and fun to say. I love how the book uses rhyming. The illustrations are gorgeous and muted. Honestly this book has so much potential, but the illustrations are sorely lacking -- bland and confusing.The words he uses to describe the rain are wonderful, lyrical. From Set Fire to The Rain to Hello, you cannot go wrong by adding this artist to your rainy-day playlist.
